The largest organization which does this is the Society for Creative Anachronism, which re-enacts the Middle Ages as they should have been. Another favorite activity is Renaissance Festivals. These are held once a year in various parts of the country, United States, England, and Germany, to name a few. Here, people turn out in their period clothing to mingle, among reconstructed buildings, and buy and sell crafts and food, and generally have a good time.
