Find in this ring sites pertaining to lefthandedness and lefthanders, and/or created/maintained by lefthanders. We are not sinister! Did you know that lefthanders, a definite minority in the human population, are right-brained, and the majority, righthanders, are left-brained? However, the ambidextrous are not middle-brained! According to Wikipedia, "mixed-handedness, also known as cross-dominance, is being able to do different tasks better with different hands. For example, mixed-handed persons might write better with their left hand but throw a ball more efficiently with their right hand. However, many writers define handedness by the hand used for writing, so mixed-handedness is often neglected." Your humble WebRing manager happens to be mixed-handed but despite writing righthandedly is south-enough-pawed to identify strongly with lefties. Pictured: one of the most famous southpaws ever: Sanford Braun AKA Sandy Koufax, fabulous pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers who, in 1968, made lots of folks mad by refusing to pitch in the World Series game (against the Minnesota Twins) that was scheduled on Yom Kippur. (The Twins won that game but lost the Series.) Some other famous lefthanders (a few from a long list that ranges from queens to criminals): Whoopie Goldberg, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Ringo Starr, President Barack Obama, President George H. W. Bush, President Bill Clinton, Chris Carter, Albert Einstein, Judy Garland, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Pabol Picasso, Oprah Winfrey and William Bonney (Billy the Kid).
