Mammals > Horses You may find any equine material here, including but not limited to commercial and personal pages with information, resources, sales, stables, directories (with original content), history, biology, stories, games, sims, etc., about horses, ponies and equine ancestors. Pictured: A photo by Denis Egan of an Equus Przewalski wild horse, not wild at the moment (the picture was taken at the North Wales. Colwyn Bay Mountain Zoo). Says Egan: "In the beginning there was the Przewalski Wild Horse and from this came the modern horse as we know it. The Przewalski is extinct in the wild being preserved only by zoo programmes. As an experiment, three have been put to roam parts of Snowdonia since they crop less closely than sheep and so give the trees that once were so abundant in the Snowdonia landscape (and now are almost a rarity) a chance to grow."
