This is a web ring dedicated to the highly successful Channel 4 quiz, Countdown. The show began on November 2nd 1982 and was the very first programme on air on the channel.

Following Richard Whiteley, Desmond Lynam, Des O'Connor and Jeff Stelling, Nick Hewer now occupies the presenter's chair.

Given the difficult task to replace orginal numbers and letters girl, Carol Vorderman is young Oxford graduate, Rachel Riley. Susie Dent is head of Dictionary Corner along with weekly guests who let us into their personal and professional lives or try to entertain us with amusing anacdotes.

We feature every contestant, every match, and just about any trivia titbit associated with our favourite parlour game. So, put on your LEOTARD, nibble a TANGELO and settle back.
