The DIODE blog is written by adults with Asperger's Syndrome. As part of the DIODE program at Full Life (an arts and recreation center for adults with developmental disabilities), the clients develop their own ideas for original content and draft their own posts. As the program supervisor, I try to limit my role to an editorial and curatorial one.
In exploring web resources for the Asperger's community at large, I have found a great number of sites by and about people who support someone with the condition. While this is an essential service providing a network of great resources for families and caregivers, there is a distinct lack of content generated by the Asperger's population for itself. I hope we can fill that void and provide a platform for other individuals with Asperger's Syndrome to express themselves and network with a community o
