The Abrams Railroad Empire, or ARE, is a model railroad in HO scale located in Montgomery County, Maryland. It fills an 20 foot by 22 foot former game room. The focus is on operating among 21 industries, 5 yards, 7 towns, and 2 interchange tracks using computer-generated train orders and DCC control.

The Red Caboose Crew, formerly the Jackson Society of Model Engineers, is a model train club, whose current project is Jackson Station Museum Exhibit at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Jackson, Mississippi.
