Pictured: one of the most famous southpaws ever: Sanford Braun AKA Sandy Koufax, fabulous pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers who, in 1968, made lots of folks mad by refusing to pitch in the World Series game (against the Minnesota Twins) that was scheduled on Yom Kippur. (The Twins won that game but lost the Series.)
