Firecat Studios Takes the Iron WebMaster Title!
Launched a mere three months ago, the Iron WebMaster website design competition invited web designers from around the world to pit their skills against one another.
Partially based on such hit shows as the Food Network's "Iron Chef" and FOX's "American Idol," Iron WebMaster presented competitors with a series of design challenges and invited the public to help decide who should win each round. Themes ranged from a simple web developer profile to complex travel sites with interactive features.
Just as with "American Idol," the competition was not short of its darlings. Cynthia Nord of Indianapolis, Indiana and college-student Cole Hafner of Ashland, Oregon, both sharpened their design skills with each round and drew scores of votes from adoring fans.
After five rounds of fierce competition, though, it was Firecat Studios of Patchogue, New York, that shot ahead to claim the title of Iron WebMaster. Firecat's entries were always timely and professional and favored by a variety of celebrity judges.

Multiple URLs Require Multiple NavBars
Are you one of the hundreds of new members who either can't figure out how to add the WebRing NavBar to your site, or your site editing software doesn't allow you to add the NavBar, or you don't even have a web site?
Consider registering/activating your WebRing Blog.
As a member, you have a free blog waiting for you to activate it. Here's how:
- Sign in to your WebRing account and open your My Account page (if it doesn't open when you sign in).
- Click the "Register" button on the "Blog" tab.
- Fill out the form page that opens and submit it.
That's it! You will then have a blog at your disposal, and the best part is that the WebRing NavBar is already added.
Once you have registered your blog, you can post updates, provide tips and tutorials, showcase products, journal about your day-to-day lives, supply political commentary... the sky's the limit!
And, remember to join a WebRing Community after you start to blog.

Prevention of Animal Cruelty
|
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) works diligently year round to stem off the still-prevalent abuse of animals. Although their work continues throughout the year, each April they hold a fund drive to help fight cruelty to animals. Please consider making a donation to their campaign.
If you can't afford to make a cash contribution, consider contacting your local animal shelter and asking how you can help with their overflowing numbers of abandoned or rescued animals.
