Activity Score
Your WebRing activity score gauges your level of involvement on the overall WebRing system. Put simply: low scores reflect low use, while high scores reflect super-users. And, it's easier than you think to earn activity points:
- Access the site at least once a day.
- Manage your ring(s).
- Help manage a community ring.
- Add sites and edit sites.
- Tell friends.
- Invite friends. Earn more points if they click the link.
- Preview and rate sites in rings.
- Respond to support queries (coming soon...)
All these items (and more) accumulate daily and are assigned a value. Active users have higher scores than those who rarely use the WebRing system.
If it's been awhile since you visited WebRing, you'll notice a decrease in your score. This is because actions lose value over time. To raise your activity score, just do a few of the things listed above.
The value shown reflects actions performed through yesterday. You can view points your activities earned today tomorrow, so check back (and get credit for another access :) ).
What's the Activity Score used for?
First and foremost, we wanted an easy way to identify and honor the WebRing super-users. We haven't decided yet, but some ideas include cool prizes and recognition on the WebRing front page. Ultimately, the activity score is intended to help recognize and reward those of you who make WebRing great!
