webring ownership change email
How long does it take to get an adopt this ring email? I wanted to shift the Duncan Methos Slash ring from one id (chantpleure32) to another (chantpleure) but I did it wrong and now I can't get in to manage and the email in my webring box has no links and there is no matching email anywhere in my registered email address. Could you send it again or let me back in to fix my mistake? I miss my litle ring!
We've notified our techs, and they should begin the process of reassigning management of the ring to account "chantpleure" soon.
The invitation to assume management of that ring was indeed delivered, but we discovered that the email needs some updating.
You mentioned not being able to get back in? Do you mean you no longer have access to the ring's management menu or that you can't log in to WebRing in general?
I no longer can access the ring management menu. I didn't transfer the ring, as I should have, I(chantpleure32) invited myself (chantpleure) to adopt it, but the email never came to email@example.com. I receive other webring mail but not the invitation. Thank you for your help, I love webring!!!
Thanks for replying with the info. Our techs have transferred that ring to your chantpleure account. You should now have full management access.
That's odd that the invitation wasn't delivered to your inbox but other WR mails are. We'll have to look into why that might be happening. In the meantime, you might want to see how your alerts are set up.
that happened to me also, i have not been contacted of anything, and now my ring is up for auction??????
