Pompadour Decorations - 03/06/2013

Maybe a trend that never really took off? When I stumbled upon this in the 1902 Sears Catalogue it was the first I'd ever heard of these things.   Since they were sold with jewels and whatnot, it appears they were meant to be seen rather than hidden under the hairdo; but doing a web searches for the term usually just calls up more kinds of padding used to create a pompadour, rather than something to decorate it further.
