Bertha Bean - BERTHA MAY Dau of S.W. & M. J. BEAN DIED AUG. 11, 1883 AGED 11DS A little flower of love That blossomed but to die Transplanted now above To bloom with God on high.   Bertha May Bean was born on 01 August 1883 to Samuel Waite Bean and his wife, Martha Jane “Mattie” Crosier, in Waiteville, Monroe, West Virginia.   She was their firstborn child. Sam married Mattie 19 October 1882 in Monroe County. After Bertha’s death, the couple went on to have 7 more children: Annie Mina ; Grace Myrtle ; Leafie Metta ; Ardie Orville ; April Broaders Cecil ; Quincy Quito ;   and Samuel Maxwell . Bertha is buried at the New Zion Union Church Cemetery, Waiteville, Monroe, West Virginia.

Tombstone Tuesday MOTHER FATHER LILLIE M. PETER JAN. 29, 1881 JUNE 25, 1872 SEPT. 26, 1932 JULY 15, 1956 ROTGE Peter Rotge was the 7th of 8 children born to Jean Rotge and his wife Anna Martin. Both Jean and Anna had been born in France, while all of their children except one,were born in the US, one was born in France, six in New Orleans, LA, and the last in Goliad, TX. Peter married Lillie Mae Surber on 15 Nov 1902 in Texas. The couple had 8 children: Julius Otto Rotge Annie Mae Irena Rotge John Cornelius Rotge Joseph Jesse Rotge Ruby Martha Ann Rotge Twin to Ruby Stillborn Robert Roy Rotge Twin to Robert Stillborn Lillie died in 1932, and Peter in 1956. They are buried at Glen Rest Cemetery in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas. Peter and Lillie Rotge are my dh's great-grandparents.

She was the 8th born of 11 children to this family.   Laura May married William Jacob Sparks on 15 Apr 1906 in Bandera County, Texas. The couple had 4 children: Beulah Bessie Lela V. Newton Jacob Ora Lee   The couple divorced and in 1930 Laura May married Zachiria T. Langford .   After this marriage, Laura May married yet again, to an unknown with the last name of Clewis.   The last two marriages ended in divorce.   Laura May died on 6 Oct 1969 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas.   She is buried at ... Sunset Cemetery Mountain Home, Kerr County, Texas.   Laura May was my dh's great-grandmother. He grew up with her in the home. She was lovingly known as "Big Grandma". ...

George Tennille, Jr. -   GEORGE C.              TENILLE JR. 1825-1874     Born 29 Dec 1825 in Saline County, Missouri, George Tennille Jr. was the third born of eight children to George Tennille, Sr. and his wife, Sally Davis . On 2 July 1846 in Gonzales County, Texas, George married Anastasia Brown.   Nothing is known of her. On 7 July 1851, he married Unknown Kelso, in DeWitt County, Texas. On 19 July 1853, George married Ann Sample in DeWitt County, Texas. Once more nothing is known of this woman. One may presume the above three women met with illness, tragedy or childbirth and died shortly after their marriages. There is no documentation providing us clues to their demise. George Culver Clements - PAPA GEORGE CULVER CLEMENTS MAY 30, 1873 MAR 21, 1963   George Culver Clements was the second born child of Joseph Hardin Clements and Sarah Jane Tennille . He was born in Gonzales County, Texas. His grandparents on both sides were early white settlers in the Republic of Texas. He married Julia Ann Rogers on 21 Dec 1893 in Junction City, Kibble County, Texas. The couple had nine children: Letta May   Anne Eudora Pearl George Silas Ida Julia Sallie Louise Josephine Julian Culver Woodrow Wilson George Culver Clements died in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico. He is buried at Sunset Memorial Park   in Albuquerque.

BEAN MARY F.          JOHN M. 1897 - 1975          1866 - 1954 John Monroe Bean, Sr. was born in 1866 in Cincinatti, Ohio to William M. Bean and Margaret Smith Perkins Bean . Mary Elizabeth Faudree Bean was born 1897 in Centennial , West Virginia to Stephen L. Faudree and Elizabeth Carnifax Faudree . The couple had 3 sons together. John and Mary are buried at New Zion Union Church Cemetery,  located in Waiteville, Monroe County, West Virginia. They are my grandparents.
