Safety Equipment Checklist - why have one? We wrote up this list for Cap'n André while crewing on Un Tigre Beau , a beautiful Baltic 35. 2 big reasons to have a Safety Equipment Checklist : To make sure the Can Opener covers all bases and doesn't miss anything. Sure as shootin', whatever we miss will be the one thing we reeeeaaaallly need most at the worst possible time. To make sure the Can Opener checks all the expiry dates on a methodical basis. If there's a list, it'll be put in the maintenance schedule and since we'll have a master maintenance schedule, it'll get done.
